Grandad’s story began in 1901, where as a young man he was born into a hardworking construction family in the picturesque town of Yarm, North Yorkshire.
He was kind, considerate and understated...which was down to years of being subjected to Granny’s naughty antics.
Grandad’s favourite moments were sitting in his beloved allotment with his G&T, an antidote to naughty Granny!
