Granny Garbutt’s London Dry Gin 42% abv made in small batches in our copper alembic still 'Isabelle' is inspired by founder Karen's very own Granny Garbutt born on the North Yorkshire Moors in 1901.  Juniper rich as you would expect, we forage botanicals from our Devon Moorlands, such as gorse flowers, blackberries and heather which we combine along with Dartmoor Wildflower Honey and local Kings Award winners Little Pod Vanilla, to give the most wonderful fruit and floral tones & flavours bringing vibrancy to your glass from British moorlands.

Granny's love of gin and the moorlands is our inspiration to celebrate her colourful personality which was passed onto her granddaughter and founder, along with her naughty sense of humour. Granny was also known for her mischievous behaviour which always provided plenty for the village to talk about. The biggest and most precious memories were her story telling of times gone by which will be forever in our hearts and we try to reflect in the gin.

Founder Karen says;

This I refer to as my glugging gin which at the end of an arduous and challenging day is the perfect antidote! Poured into a tumbler with plenty of ice, slice of grapefruit and a light Fevertree tonic makes a long refreshing G&T which really hits the spot, feeling renewed and ready to enjoy what’s left of the day with my moorland, feel-good, happy place back in mind.

I love this gin, however what I love also is the back story of Karen's family heritage and that I'm sure the original Granny Garbutt would be immensely proud.  It's such an easy drinker and ever since the very first bottle we produced has been loved by family, friends & customers alike.
